  • Glencadam Wins at London Spirits Competition

At the first-ever London Spirits Competition, which took place in London on March 8-9, Glencadam 19 Year Old won a Gold Medal, which is the ultimate seal of approval in the global spirits industry. In order to receive this distinction, it needed to score highly in three different categories: Quality, Value and Packaging. We also picked up Silver Medals for GLencadam 13 Year Old and Origins.

In contrast to other spirits competitions, where distilling ability and technical expertise sometimes receive primary consideration at the expense of drinkability, the goal of the London Spirits Competition was to award and celebrate the spirits that spirits drinkers actually want to buy, whether at a retail store or ordering off the menu at a London restaurant.

  • The Re-awakening

Glencadam Distillery proudly announces the release of a rare 13 year old expression.

Rare because in the Autumn of the year 2000, Glencadam distillery fell silent. This silence became a deep sleep for three years until its joyous “Re-Awakening” in the Autumn of 2003. This rare, 13 years old limited edition from the re-start of distillation truly represents and commemorates “The Re-Awakening” of Glencadam Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Noted to have the colour of shimmering gold, a nose of floral malty sweetness and subtle vanilla, this rare release is definitely lining up to be a corker!

As we approach the end of 2016, we take a look at some of our favourite moments and events that helped shape our year.

From the intimate masterclasses to 4 day shows; we attended many exhibitions this year. As a relatively small but growing whisky we think it’s the perfect opportunity for us to share our story and meet those who love our whisky or want to find out more about us and our whisky. This year at one of the shows, we welcomed a group of international customers who flew all the way to visit us on our stand.
We’d like to thank everyone who joined us to experience Glencadam and we look forward to more shows in the coming year.

We've made many memories this year and we'd like to thank everyone who made this year a special one.

    To 2017! Happy New Year
