Glencadam | Whiskies


All our age statement Glencadam expressions are bottled at 46% vol. and are unchillfiltered whilst also having no added colouring to ensure that the flavour components of the whisky are preserved and the naturalness of the whisky from the cask can be enjoyed to the full.

Glencadam 'Origin 1825'

 

Glencadam Distillery opened in 1825 and since then little has changed.

A very special collection of casks were chosen for the Origin 1825 edition. The final selection consisted of a unique marriage of whisky matured in first-class American white-oak bourbon barrels with whisky “finished” in the finest Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts.

Nose

Sweet orchard fruits and blossom honey mingled with baked apple and hints of cinnamon

Palate

Layers of fresh banana and pear fruit followed with sweet barley sugars, dried pineapple and soft cake spices

Finish

Mellow and fruity with notes of pear drops, lemon drizzle cake and candied peels
